CAS Summer Intensives at Play Works

Schedule Your Child's Intensive Between: July 11 - August 26

Ages 3 to 9 years

‘Play works’ in treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech, using a multi-sensory approach which incorporates the principles of motor learning. Sarah McDonnell MA CCC/SLP is recognized by the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) for Advanced Training and Clinical Expertise in the Evaluation and Treatment of CAS. She is a play advocate, holding steadfast to the research that children learn best when experiences are meaningful, and that children learn naturally through play! An eclectic approach is taken and tailored to each child, as no two children respond the same way to treatment. Evidenced based practice approaches including Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC) and a multisensory approach (kinesthetic, tactile, auditory, visual cues) are utilized.  Schedule your child's intensive therapy program between July 11th - August 26th, to best meet your family's needs. Our program includes Initial evaluation and review of historical records. Two, 45-minute therapy sessions per day, including parent and caregiver training so that you can carry over skills within your child's natural environment. Families will leave the program with a written plan of treatment to take home to their child's therapy team. Contact Sarah at if you are interested in learning more regarding the CAS therapy intensives. Video of speech sample and case history will be requested prior to acceptance into the program.
